Plate Tectonics

Plate tectonics may boost biodiversity by recycling chemicals and minerals through the crust. If it were any less massive, it would probably not have plate tectonics.Plates at our planet’s surface move because of the intense heat in the Earth’s core that causes molten rock in the mantle layer to move.
